For the production of the gigantes variety, the total area cultivated by the participants by conventional means, integrated practice and organic farming amounted respectively to 9.5 ha, 6 ha and 2.6 ha. Data for elefantes correspond to 15 ha cultivated only by integrated means. Finally, the total area cultivated by the participants with the plake variety the conventional way, the integrated way and by organic means amounted to 6 ha, 22 ha and 3.5 ha respectively.
