Noodles with chicken (Bakmi ayam)
Comforting Indonesian noodle dish. Often served at Chinese Indonesian birthdays where the long noodles symbolize longevity.
Instructions
- Make a stock out of the chicken one day in advance
- Remove the meat from the chicken and tear it into small pieces. Add 1 tbsp of fish sauce
- Boil the chinese vegetables in the chicken stock
- Cook the noodles and drain. Mix with 2 tbsp of vegetable oil and 2 tbsp of fish sauce
- Serve noodles with the salted chicken, vegetables and chicken stock
